El Rincón

The Finca El Rincón is situated in the Orotava Valley in the north of Tenerife with the extinct valcano El Teide (3718m) in the background. Humboldt once called the Orotava Valley the most beautiful valley all over the world. The climate of the valley is said to have a certain healing power. You find Finca El Rincón between banana plantations amidst the green region of the Orotava Valley on the coast - also referred to as 'El Rincón'. With its 'own' coast, with breathtaking views of the sea and two sandy beaches practically on the doorstep.

'Rincón' means quiet corner. Here you can still enjoy peace. There are no cars or factories between here and America. Here you can still enjoy the air.

And yet you can reach Puerto de la Cruz by foot along a beautiful path close to the sea in about half an hour, and by car in about 10 minutes. There is also a public bus stop close by, and taxis are cheap.

The Finca is partly left as nature intended, partly kept as a nature garden with different types of fruit tress, a small banana plantation - all organically grown -, palm trees, pine trees, araucarias, tabaibas, flowers, a pond with a barbecue and picnic area, meadows for sunning, a swing. 4-leaved clover grows next to the pond.
