The Canary Islands and coronavirus
In general, the Canary Islands acted effectively during the pandemic and were often cited as a positive example in the global press. Supply to all the islands was never restricted; all the supermarkets were fully stocked and open every day. Thanks to early and consistent hygiene measures and restrictions in public places and in restaurants (with only 50% occupancy and sufficient distance between the tables), the spread of COVID-19 was curbed within a very short period of time, and the Canary Islands quickly became one the regions with the lowest infection rate in all of Spain.
There are also strict hygiene measures in place so that you can enjoy your holiday in peace and security.
Finca El Rincón and coronavirus
You can't have a relaxing holiday if you're worried about your own health. Health and safety are always top priorities at Finca El Rincón.
Our remote location, the extensive area - around 18,000 m² with a huge variety of trees, bushes, cacti, flowers in the best climate in the world - the small number of guests with only 8 apartments and the independence of the individual residential units are significant advantages.
There are no "crowds" of people because we don't have any common areas like lobbies or breakfast rooms. Each of our apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen and its own terrace with a sea view. Unlike a hotel, there isn't a risk of the entire facility having to be cordoned off if a guest becomes infected. Only the guest (or guests) who become infected would have to remain in quarantine in their apartment - and we are excellently prepared for that too. Supply and catering are guaranteed by our staff at all times.
The hygiene regulations come from the Spanish government and are enhanced by the highest standards of hygiene which we have imposed ourselves. With the utmost care, we guarantee a series of anti-COVID-19 measures which enable us to provide our services under safe conditions and for the optimal protection of our guests and employees.
This includes wearing mouth-nose protection masks. All employees will wear a mask when they come within 2m or when they clean your apartment. If you contact us on or after your arrival, please also wear a protective mask. We can provide you with protective masks free of charge. The respective apartment is of course thoroughly disinfected before each new arrival.
From 22nd June 2020 tourists will be allowed to enter Tenerife again and we will be there for you again!
New cancellation conditions during the coronavirus period
Because we at Finca El Rincón want you to be able to enjoy your holiday with us without any worries, we have created special cancellation conditions:
If a travel warning applies to the Canary Islands, Tenerife or your country of origin at the time of your booking (meaning that you will probably not be able to travel) you can cancel your booking completely free of charge up to 24 hours before departure.
So you can book your next holiday in Tenerife with us now - the anticipation of the holiday isn't as enjoyable as actually staying at our Finca, but it's still a great encouragement and motivation in this eventful time!
